A Guide to the Perfect Day in Miami Beach

Updated: Jul 9, 2023

I have lived in Miami for 16 years of my life and to be honest, every day can be a bit dull, especially living in Doral, a suburb in the city of Miami. I go to school, then tennis practice, and later go home to do my homework; but, there are days where Miami can be the perfect city. Here's the perfect guide to a day in Miami Beach:

1.Make Plans and Go to the Beach

First off, wake up in the morning and decide your plans for the day. I know - head to the beach! Once you get ready for the day call your friends and see what they're up to. Being the teenager you are with only a driver's permit or not having your own car at all, take the trolley in Miami Beach with your friends and head down to Mid Beach. You can also rent a Citi Bike in which station can be found all over Miami Beach.

2.Start the Day off Right With Some Exercise

Once you are in Mid Beach you can do a variety of things to start your mornings. For instance, there is a recreational center behind Nautilus Middle School where you can play tennis, basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball, and any other recreational activity. For all the future hot moms reading this, the Miami Beach Pilates Studio is a great place to do pilates and get that ab workout in, while Soul Cycle is just down the street in South Beach.

3.Grab Some Coffee

After your morning workout, head down to a nearby Starbucks (there’s probably about five in the general area of Miami Beach) or a local coffee shop and order your preferred drink. I always get a grande Strawberry Açaí Refresher and Impossible Breakfast Sandwich. These two items together are a total Starbucks game changer - although I may be changing my order for the future. Below is a map of all the coffee shops in South Beach and Mid Beach:

4.Head Down to the Beach

After buying your coffee near the beach and drinking it splendidly, head over to South Pointe or Mid Beach to get a nice tan or a swim in the ocean. I always go to Mid Beach over South Beach, being that South Beach is always jam-packed with people, while Mid Beach is calm and relaxing. While at the beach, I like to use coconut oil as a tanning lotion to have a golden tan by the end of the day. But remember, always wear sunscreen on your face! No girl wants to age prematurely.

5. Eat Some Pizza!

Lastly, to finish off the day, head down to Lincoln Road to eat pizza from Mister01. The restaurant is hidden inside a building, so it may be hard to find at first! This restaurant hands down has the best pizza in the area, alongside Pizza Fiore. In addition, The Italian food at IT Italian Trattoria has the best Spaghetti Pomodoro you’ll ever eat.

Now drop everything your doing and go to the beach! You won‘t regret it.
